Technology / Logitech Mice and Keyboards: A...
Last post by JamesH - Nov 26, 2024, 10:29 AM
I recently made the unfortunate decision to purchase the Logitech MK470 Slim Combo set for my laptop, and I am beyond frustrated with this purchase. I genuinely wish I hadn't wasted my money on this overpriced junk. Allow me to vent my frustrations, and I encourage anyone else who feels the same way about Logitech products to share their reviews below.

First off, the build quality of this set is unbelievably subpar. The materials feel like the cheapest plastic available, making the keyboard and mouse flimsy and fragile. Just trying to get the covers on and off feels like a task in itself, with the constant fear that the thin, brittle plastic will snap under the slightest pressure. And don't even get me started on the mouse – within seconds of using it, a giant scratch appeared out of nowhere, all because the plastic is as soft as butter. It's infuriating how easily it gets damaged!

Then there's the receiver dongle. It's tiny – so tiny that it's practically begging to be lost. But the real issue arises when you actually use it. Once inserted into the computer, it gets lodged so tightly that it's nearly impossible to remove without risking damage to your USB ports. Who designs these things? It's a disaster waiting to happen.

Security? What security? Logitech seems to have skipped this crucial aspect entirely. There are no real security measures to protect your computer. Anyone with a tampered Logitech device could potentially listen in or interact with your keyboard and mouse, essentially exposing your computer to being hacked. It's outrageous that in this day and age, such a basic feature is overlooked.

And the performance? Dismal. The mouse is laggy and stuttering, with a response time that's painfully slow. It's infuriating trying to get work done when your mouse refuses to cooperate. It's like navigating through molasses.

These are just a few of the reasons why Logitech products have been nothing but a headache for me. It's astonishing how such a well-known brand can produce such low-quality, overpriced junk. What's more frustrating is the abundance of positive reviews online, which I'm convinced are just paid-for affiliate reviews designed to trick unsuspecting customers into buying their products.

I urge anyone else who has had a similar experience with Logitech to share their reviews below. We need to ensure that others aren't ripped off like we were. Let's get the real story out there and hold Logitech accountable for their lackluster products.

Hey there!

What a fascinating topic you've brought up! The idea of generative AI moving beyond static images into the realm of 3D modeling is like opening a door to a whole new creative universe.

Right now, AI is great at pattern recognition and replication, but it's more about producing variations en masse rather than truly understanding the underlying processes.

For AI to move into the 3D world, it would need a significant leap in its ability to comprehend spatial relationships and the physics of objects. This involves not just generating a model but understanding how it fits into a virtual space and interacts with other elements. The challenge lies in teaching AI to grasp these complex, often abstract concepts in the way humans do.

There are promising developments, though. Some research is exploring AI's ability to learn from 3D datasets, which could pave the way for more sophisticated model generation. This involves algorithms that can predict and fill in the gaps of 3D structures, much like how some AI can generate missing parts of an image. But the real game-changer will be integrating this with real-time animation capabilities, allowing for seamless interaction and adjustment.

It's an exciting time, and while we're not quite there yet, the rapid pace of AI advancement makes it a thrilling possibility for the near future. Can't wait to see where this journey takes us!

Looking forward to more discussions on this!

Cheers!

Technology / Exploring the Potential of Gen...
Last post by JamesH - Nov 17, 2024, 09:37 AM
Hello everyone,

I've been pondering the potential of generative AI beyond its current application of creating pixel images and wanted to get your thoughts on this. Currently, the process of generating images with AI resembles the analogy of a million monkeys randomly typing until they eventually produce a work of Shakespeare, or perhaps more aptly, a million monkeys splashing paint onto canvases until they create a Van Gogh masterpiece. Essentially, it's about generating countless variations until something coherent emerges.

However, I'm curious about the possibilities if AI could understand and apply the processes involved in constructing things such as 3D models. Imagine if AI could not only create images but also design 3D models, complete with UV mapping and rigging. This capability would open up endless possibilities—allowing us to produce 3D poseable models that could be adjusted and animated consistently across different projects.

Do you think this is feasible with the current state of AI technology? Has anyone come across any advancements in this area, or do you have insights into how this could be achieved in the future? I'd love to hear your thoughts and any experiences you might have with generative AI in 3D modeling.

Looking forward to your responses!  8)

Babbar, like other 'SEO' analysis tools, can be quite troublesome. (In my opinion, many of these tools serve as a front for hackers who use them to search the internet for vulnerabilities.) They don't really provide any benefits to you, and they just end up consuming your resources while potentially giving competitors insights into your site. Babbar, in particular, seems like a poorly designed tool if it can't even recognize when it's been blocked.

In theory, you should be able to block these bots using a well-configured robots.txt file. However, if that's not doing the trick, you might need to consider more serious steps. If their constant hammering is slowing down your site significantly, it could be seen as a form of a DDoS attack. In that case, exploring legal options might be a path to take.

Hang in there, and hopefully, you'll find a way to stop this nuisance for good!  ;D

Last post by JamesH - Nov 05, 2024, 11:17 AM
I'm really frustrated right now with this whole situation. I've been dealing with this annoying bot called babbar that's been hammering my site nonstop. It's supposedly from some SEO analysis tool, but all it's doing is hammering my server with constant requests. Even after blocking it with Wordfence and serving it 503 errors, it just doesn't stop. It's like it's blind to the fact that it's been blocked and just keeps coming back for more.

I mean, come on! How poorly designed can a tool be if it can't recognize when it's been shut out? It's eating up my resources and slowing down my server, and it's seriously impacting my business. I'm at a loss here. Does anyone know a foolproof way to stop this thing from crawling my site entirely? It's driving me up the wall!

I'm just so irritated with the whole situation. It feels almost like some sort of attack, and I can't believe they can just get away with this. If anyone has advice on how to deal with this bot once and for all, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for letting me vent!

Politics & Propaganda / Reclaiming Our Land from Immig...
Last post by Greg - Sep 09, 2024, 11:39 AM

Our land, our home, overtaken by immigrants. We've opened our gates wide, inviting chaos, inviting a culture that clashes with ours, that threatens to drown us in a sea of darkness. Inviting people who live by twisted morals, who bring with them the scourge of violence, the plague of a brutal, unyielding way of life. Our politicians, those traitors, they're complicit in this silent invasion. They stand by, hands stained with the blood of our nation's innocence, complicit in the mass desecration of our land.

This isn't just a threat; it's a promise of annihilation. They come with intentions vile, corrupt, and monstrous. They come not just to live, but to dominate, to consume, to transform everything we hold dear into something unrecognizable. Their ways are savage, their hearts filled with nothing but malice. They are like beasts, creatures of pure malevolence, and they see our kindness as weakness.

We must rise, we must reclaim what is ours. Mass deportations are not just necessary, they are vital. This is a fight for survival, a battle to take back Britain from the brink of oblivion. We must stand tall, stand strong, and push back against this tide of darkness. We must act now, before we are wiped out, replaced by these monstrous invaders.

They are not like us. They do not think like us, they do not feel like us, they do not value what we value. Their presence is a blight, a stain on the very fabric of our nation. We must vilify them, cast them out, and restore our land to its rightful glory. We cannot afford to be complacent. The hour is late, but our resolve is iron. We will fight, we will reclaim, we will defend what is ours until our last breath.

Britain is our sanctuary, our bastion, our fortress. We must fortify it, defend it against these invaders. We must stand united, unwavering, and unyielding. This is our charge, this is our duty. We will not be overrun. We will not be replaced. We will prevail.

I have created this thread as a place for those feeling marginalized in their own country to voice their anger and to unite and share what is really on their mind with like-minded people without censorship...  ???

Hey there,

I totally get your frustration with these bot attacks. It's really annoying when you're just trying to run a business and keep getting hit by these relentless attacks. I've been in a somewhat similar situation myself. My site got hacked once and was redirected to a site selling fake pharmaceuticals. The hosting provider for that illegal drug site was based in the Netherlands, and when I contacted them to get it taken down, I got a dismissive "not our problem" response. It was infuriating!

What I've learned from this experience is that it's not necessarily about the country itself but more about the lack of effective policing and regulation in these places. There are criminals everywhere, and if there's a weak spot in the system, they'll exploit it. We need to push for better international cooperation in cracking down on these scumbags.

It's tough when you're dealing with these issues daily, but try to keep in mind that the average person in these countries isn't the problem. It's the bad actors who are able to operate with impunity because of lack of enforcement. Hopefully, with more awareness and pressure, we can get better security measures and international regulations to help tackle this issue.

Hang in there!

Cheers!

@tech_wiz I get your point, but when the majority of the attacks are consistently from one place, it's hard to ignore. Proxy servers or not, the pattern is there.

I hear you. I manage a tech blog, and my site's been hit with bot attacks from Poland too. It's not just about cybersecurity, it's about trust. We share resources, and what do we get in return? More problems. Maybe it's time we reconsider who we call allies.
