Would you fight in World War 3?

With all the talk from NATO and our generals about a potential conflict looming and the need for conscription, I wonder, what's everyone's take on this? Mind you, a recent poll reveals that 90% of us Brits would decline to fight if summoned to war. Democracy has spoken, wouldn't you say?

Yes, it bloody has! And what the hells it matter if we don't want to be dragged into this fight? Isn't that what democracy is? The people's will? 😡

This whole idea of conscription, particularly when 90% of us don't want any part of it, smacks against every democratic value we're being told we need to defend.

Get this straight. I'm not about to be strong-armed into fighting for a country that couldn't give a toss about me! Our leaders are self-serving, only concerned about their interests. The idea of conscription is a kick in the teeth to democracy! They want me to defend that?

And the irony! While we're out there risking our lives for this god forsaken place, we're replaced by migrants. They swamp this land, welcomed with open arms, handed everything on a silver platter! Is this what we're fighting for?

I completely agree with you, why should I fight for a country that values things I am opposed to, like gay marriage and stuff? 🙄 And why would I fight for an economic system that favors the big guys, letting them earn billions and not pay a dime in tax, while I, the little guy, struggle to make ends meet and yet pay tons in tax. It's bloody unfair! 😠

I heard you, but don't you think it's a bit too much to call our country a 'god forsaken land'? We're talking about defending our homes, our families and our way of life! I agree the system is far from perfect, but refusing to defend it won't make it any better, will it? 🤔

@toryboy Yeah, I see your point, but let's remember, we're not talking about World War I or II here, where the cause was just. This country isn't what it used to be! I'm so disappointed with how things are, I'd go as far as to say I'd fight AGAINST this bloody country if I had to! 😤👎
